The perovskite cell technology is facing the challenge of industrialization, the current model is no longer valid. The industrialization process is divided into three stages: laboratory technology, pilot stage, and scale-up production. While most teams have completed the initial phase, the subsequent phases still require a lot of money and time. With the increase of pilot lines and the shortening of technical verification time, the technical team urgently needs to carry out pilot test platforms to quickly open up the industrialization route and achieve rapid commercialization if possible.
The three major platforms of the institute include perovskite technology scale-up and pilot test platform. Among them, the 300*300mm technology amplification platform has a full process equipment including slot coating, sputtering, evaporation, atomic layer deposition, laser, cleaning, vacuum drying, packaging, etc., which can be used for industrial transformation of different technical solutions. The pilot platform is equipped with a three-piece set of coating, vacuum drying and annealing perovskite crystalline cores, and the maximum substrate size can reach 1200*2400mm. The Si/perovskite tandem platform is equipped with a dedicated coating machine for crystalline silicon substrates, which can be used for the development and verification of 2-terminal tandem cell technology.
For upstream material and equipment manufacturers, existing pilot line manufacturers need to iterate, and new material equipment manufacturers need to provide opportunities to connect with downstream customers, improve equipment, and enter the market as soon as possible. SPRI will play the role of a platform to welcome manufacturers who are interested in the industrialization of materials and equipment to enter the platform for verification with an open attitude, and help materials and equipment manufacturers quickly go through the process from scale-up equipment to pilot production equipment.
